Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Our Declaration of Independence states that we are each entitled to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  Chesapeake Reflections’ goal is to help each individual attain those goals on a personal basis.

As an individual proceeds through life, there are always challenges.  When we learn that the challenges do not have to overwhelm us, we can begin to enjoy life.  We become free from anxiety, worry, and despair regarding things that are present in our lives which we cannot change.

As we do so, each individual can become empowered to live a life of happiness, contentment and peace.  Our goal is for each of our clients  to be able to reflect to others both the talents and inner beauty that each person possesses.

Helping to Reflect the Goodness within You

to the World around You

George Cody, LCSW-C  moved to the Eastern Shore in December of 2013 after living in Connecticut for most of his life.  He had been a practicing dentist there since 1971, both in solo and group practice.  During that career, he received many awards relating to his dental skills as well has being honored with appointments to two international organizations for his international humanitarian efforts.

As Dr. Cody approached retirement from the group practice, he desired to continue helping others.  He returned to university studies and was accepted into a program that is devoted to co-occurring disorders of mental health and substance abuse.  He received a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) with honors from Southern Connecticut State University.

Dr. Cody then moved to the Eastern Shore and has worked part time for two different mental health agencies.  Upon completion of the license exam for clinical practice (LCSW-C), Dr. Cody decided to open a private practice, Chesapeake Reflections, LLC.  He chose this name because of his love for the Eastern Shore and the fact that he feels that by helping people balance their lives, they will reflect back to others the goodness that every individual has within.  His mission statement above expresses this concept fully.
